Steven Yeun Cast in Marvel Studios' "Thunderbolts"
The Oscar-nominated actor will play a role that is significant to the future of the MCU
In announcement today by Deadline, Oscar-nominated actor Steven Yeun will be joining the cast of Marvel Studios’ “Thunderbolts.” His role is currently unknown, but this role will not only be significant to the film, but to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Yeun is known for his roles in “The Walking Dead,” “Minari,” and “Invincible.” He joins a cast that already includes Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Valentina Allegra de Fontaine), Wyatt Russell (U.S. Agent), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), Olga Kurylenko (Taskmaster), and Ayo Edebiri.
Yeun’s role, while technically unknown, could be for the ly is a character in Marvel Comics who is extremely powerful, but also carries a supervillain within himself called the Void. At one point he had to wipe everyone’s memories of him to save mankind. Sentry played a regular part of the 2009 “Dark Avengers” series, which is one incarnation of the “Thunderbolts” team. If Yeun is indeed Sentry, it looks like he will have a very important part to play as The Multiverse Saga continues on.
